We all go through testing times, times when life seems to be a continuous struggle, when the road ahead seems like it is riddled with potholes and pitfalls. When inspiration is scarce and you need sustenance to keep going, God answers your needs.
Whatever your struggle, and however difficult it seems, sometimes, turning to God can give you the strength to toil on. The Holy Bible is not just a source of prayer, it teaches a way of life that you can turn to when you're muddled for choice or are unsure of the steps to take.
Even your everyday life can benefit from Bible passages, which can inspire you to live life to the fullest and strive to be a better person every day. And of course, when the going gets tough, it is time to turn to the verses in the Bible about perseverance, for guidance.
Many a time, inspiration is personal, and what touches a person or speaks to their soul is intensely private. You will find everyday instances to encourage you, and sometimes, life itself will surprise you with wonder. For such days, remember to feel gratitude for everything you have, because your blessings, whether you realize it or not, are many.
It's only part of the unending circle that is life, that just as there are crests, there are troughs, and it's a wise person, who can 'meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two imposters just the same'. For the rest of us, who need a little pep talk now and then, these encouraging Bible verses may just fit the bill.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.James 1:2
Therefore, since we have been surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.Hebrews 12:1
They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:3
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.John 8:31,32

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.Psalms 37:24
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: ...
... Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; ...
... And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.2 Peter 1:2-8 KJV
Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper - it only leads to harm. For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.Psalm 37:7-9
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.John 15:4,5
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.John 15:7
It's the way of life to test us and to throw obstacles in our paths―it's up to each one of us to deal with them and come up trumps. It's the challenges that define us, the struggles that we overcome that shape our views and ideals.
