The Holy Bible is replete with verses that offer strength and solace to the seeker. Be it encouragement, love, forgiveness, hope etc., you can find it in the Bible. These famous verses give us the courage to challenge the adversities of life. Compiling all the verses by topic is a Herculean task, as every topic under the sun is discussed in it.

On God's Love

God's love for us humans is unfathomable. No matter how much we sin, God forgives everything and accepts us as we are, with our failures and flaws. Here are some verses from the Bible which show God's immeasurable love.

1 John 4:9-12

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has beheld God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.

Romans 8:37-39

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Deuteronomy 7:9

Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His loving kindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments.

Proverbs 8:17

I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

On Love

Jesus commanded us to love one another as He loved us. The verses about love signify the same. We do not lose anything when we love someone from the heart. Even if someone shows hatred towards us, we need to reciprocate with love. After all in the end, love conquers all.

1 Peter 4:8

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Proverbs 3:3

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart

Isaiah 54:10

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-10

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

John 13:34-35

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

On Trust

Faith and trust mean the same thing. If you have faith, you trust, and vice versa. If you take a look at these verses on trust and faith, you can see that God never forsakes those who trust Him.

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.

Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me.

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

On Forgiveness

A remarkable example of forgiveness from the Bible is of Jesus, who forgives the people who persecuted Him and sentenced Him to be nailed on the cross. Here are some verses that should teach us to forgive.

On Weddings

Weddings are a joyous occasion, where two individuals are united in holy matrimony and profess their love for each other, promising to stand by each other during happy and hard times. Given below are some beautiful verses about marriage, that show that a husband and his wife are equal in God's eyes.

Genesis 2: 23-24

The fruit of the womb is a reward
.

Mark 10:15

Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.

On Friendship

Jesus called His disciples His friends and even laid down His life for them. Keeping this sacrifice in mind, we must also try to follow Jesus' path. Taken from the Bible are the following verses about friendship.

Greater Love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

On Women

These verses from the Bible will give women confidence and strength to face life's challenges.

Proverbs 31: 10-31

An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. She looks for wool and flax, And works with her hands in delight. She is like merchant ships; She brings her food from afar.
She rises also while it is still night, And gives food to her household, And portions to her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; From her earnings she plants a vineyard. She girds herself with strength, And makes her arms strong.
She senses that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out at night. She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hands grasp the spindle. She extends her hand to the poor; And she stretches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household, For all her household are clothed with scarlet.
She makes coverings for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies belts to the tradesmen. Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future.
She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: "Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all."
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her the product of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates.

1 Corinthians 11:8-9, 11-12

For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man..... In the LORD, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.

Proverbs 11:16

A kindhearted woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth.

1 Timothy 2:9-10

Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments; but rather by means of good works, as befits women making a claim to godliness.

1 Peter 3:1-6

In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior.
And let not your adornment be merely external-- braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands. Thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.
