Apuryamanam achala-pratishtham
Samudram apah pravishanti yadvat

Tadvat kama yam pravishanti sarve
Sa shantim apnoti na kama-kami
Stay calm and stable.
Na jayate mriyate va kadachin
Nayam bhutva bhavita va na bhuyah

Ajo nityah shashvato yam purano
Na hanyate hanyamane sharire
Be fearless.
Krodhad bhavati sammohah
Sammohat smriti-vibhramah

Smriti-bhranshad buddhi-nasho
Buddhi-nashat pranashyati

Dhruvam janma mritasya cha

Tasmaad-aparihaarye arthe
Na tvam shochitum-arhasi
Death is certain. Birth is certain.

Matra-sparshas tu kaunteya
Shitoshna-sukha-duhkha-dah

Agamapayino nityastan
Stitikshasva bharata
Radiance, forgiveness, fortitude, purity, lack of enmity, lack of arrogance give peace of mind.
Tejaha kshamaa dhritihi
Shauchamadroho naatimaanitaa

Bhavanti sampadam
Daiveemabhijaatasya bhaarata
Karmanye-vadhika-raste
Ma phaleshu kadachana

Ma karma-phala-hetur-bhurma
Te sango-stva-karmani
