Every living being has a different perspective on happiness and a different definition of it. Happiness is the emotion which makes a life, complete. Over time, many intellectual, religious sayings and words evolved about this important part of our lives. It is interesting to see happiness from God's perspective.

Happiness is an emotion that everyone is in pursuit of. It may range from mere contentment to a feeling of intense joy. But how do you come upon the ultimate, true contentment with your life?

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, speaks about happy people, called happy from His perspective. What groups of people does he declare to be happy? Read ahead to know about happy people as Jesus Himself states in the Bible.

"Happy are the poor in spirit: for the kingdom of heaven is theirs." Matthew 5:3 "Happy are those who are sad: for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4 "Happy are the gentle: for the earth will be their heritage." Matthew 5:5 "Happy are those whose heart's desire is for righteousness: for they will have their desire." Matthew 5:6

"Happy are those who have mercy: for they will be given mercy." Matthew 5:7 "Happy are the clean in heart: for they will see God." Matthew 5:8 "Happy are the peacemakers: for they will be named sons of God." Matthew 5:9 "Happy are those who are attacked on account of righteousness: for the kingdom of heaven will be theirs." Matthew 5:10

"Happy are you when men give you a bad name, and are cruel to you, and say all evil things against you falsely, because of me." Matthew 5:11 "...and happy is he who may not be stumbled in Me." Matthew 11:6

In the Old Testament, God the Father is found to be called Jehovah, so the verses that contain this Name, refer to Him. What is the taste of God? Those who know it, say it is sweeter than honey; it is happiness. Here are some verses that speak about happy people from God's perspective.

People Who Trust and Know God

Happiness seems to be a way of life to those who know God. They are continually delighting in His presence in spite of tough times.

God is there, regardless of any circumstance; His perfect and blessed Holy love was poured into our lives through His Son, Jesus Christ's sacrifice. It is uplifting, fulfilling, peaceful, and sweetest ever.

Regardless of whatever you have done, wherever you have been, you can come back in your Creator's safe hands. He will surely forgive you and restore your soul. Yes, the true contentment truly exists in God's Hands. Ask God to give it to you! Be a person that God can declare to be His happy child!
