Scriptures of Encouragement

Marlene Alphonse Feb 13, 2020
When faced with difficulty, a person seeks solace, comfort, and a shoulder to lean on to get encouragement. Turn to the Holy Bible, and cast aside all your fears.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. ~ Matthew 11:28-30
The Bible is full of scriptures of encouragement and one of the most inspiring and encouraging verses (and my personal favorite) from the New Testament of the Holy Bible is Matthew 11:28-30. Jesus calls to all those weary souls to cast off their worries and lean on Him.
I think this is one of the most beautiful ways to get encouraged and look at trouble in the eye and say I'm not going to be tied down. There is someone far greater who will deliver me from these harrowing times.
